Hartford Healthcare partners with local minority coffee supplier to fuel our days and our communities

Rhythm Roasting Co. (RRC) is now the official coffee company of Hartford HealthCare! 

 RRC is a minority, women-owned, coffee supplier and support organization for coffee growers all over the world seeking to expand their global reach.   

RRC’s owner, Alisa Bowens-Mercado, of Hamden, was introduced to Hartford HealthCare at our first Supplier Diversity Summit in Hartford last July. The summit, and a second similar event in Bridgeport earlier this month, are part of HHC’s commitment to strengthening our communities and neighborhoods by partnering with minority-owned vendors and suppliers. 

RRC ethically sources coffee from various producers and develops long-term, sustainable relationships enabling coffee producers who may lack funding and technology to sell high quality coffee at fair prices.
